The SciGirls CONNECT Network is a five-year, National Science Foundation-funded initiative that draws together the leading girl-serving STEM educational outlets from across the United States, providing them with the training and materials they need to implement SciGirls programming, including STEM workforce initiatives, in their communities. Resources include SciGirls videos, hands-on Activity Guides, online gaming, and a variety of instructional workshops for educators.
The SciGirls CONNECT Network includes educators from science museums, STEM professional groups, colleges and universities, community enrichment programs, Girl Scouts, 4-H, and others. The network’s 55 STEM education partners across 25 states will grow to over 100 across all fifty states by the project’s culmination in 2017. Currently, over 478 educators from 323 outreach organizations have participated in educational training initiatives. Additionally, the SciGirls CONNECT Network team is focused on recruiting organizations that specifically serve girls and women of color to honor our commitment to building STEM workforce diversity.
Thanks to CONNECT, every girl can be a SciGirl!
